Cubism:

A 20th century art movement throughout Europe that revolutionized painting and sculpture, coherently inspiring changes in music, literature, and architecture. In aspect to paintings, artists drew with a more abstract style, breaking up the painting and portraying many viewpoints. This showed a more contextual representation of the work, while removing a sense of depth. Cubism was inspired upon the discovery of more primitive nations such as: Native Americans, and Africans. The artists were inspired by the simplicity of these styles.
